Then one day Felicity's younger sister,Nan finds her riding Penny and call her parents after the parents come they say she's not to take rides with Penny because it's not her horse after that talk Jiggy Nye comes and take Penny Edward Felicity's father tries to buy her but Jiggy Nye doesn't want to do Bissnuess with the Merriman family.At the end Felicity learns the lesson of patience.[ P.S this is the first book in a series.  --Lenah

Ruthie is kind, helpful and intelligent,her family is not effected by the Depression.Her father works at the bank where the Kittredges are clients.
I Really Loved this book it's sad on how Kit's father lost his job and Kit's family doesn't have a cent to spare on Fancy Gowns,Dance Lessons,Restaurants and treats of all kind.
