I'd most likely by friends with Stephen White and the Colonel. They both seem like kind people, and they are some of the only friends Ada has.
I would NOT want to be friends with Ada's mom. She's cruel, she abuses Ada and Jamie. I'd want to meet her though, to give her a piece of my mind for hurting Ada and Jamie for all those years.
