When Percy receives a mysterious distress call about two half - bloods from Grover, Percy, Annabeth, and Thalia race to rescue Nico and Bianca Di Angelo from the evil Dr. Thorn, a manticore, who has "3000 attack power!!!" Or something like that, says Nico.
Unfortunatley, this strange appearance somehow fuels a dastardly plot to get Atlas out from his job of holding up the sky. Artemis is captured, and suddenly Zoe Nightshade is forced to die by her father's hand. And the prophecy still cautions them.
Lots will perish on their quest to rescue Annabeth and Artemis in The Titan's Curse.
