Crow by Barbara Wright
Crow is a great book, that is told from the perspective of Moses Thomas And has a series of events leading to the Wilmington massacre in 1898. An is amazing book about a boy who's grandmother was a slave and his mother is an uneducated woman, his father is a educated who is works at the only black newspaper in town the record. Read the book to find out more.

What else is new?
Suddenly I'm very interested in black history and I guess it's from the influence of my fifth grade teacher Ms.Vasquéz, three cheers for her. I think she is amazing and I hope all goes well for future fifth graders. By the way, Barbara Wright grew up in North Carolina but she lived all over the world, in France, Korea and El Salvador. She is currently living in Denver with her husband.
