It's really, really, really good book about friendship and trust. Maggie, the narrator, lives in Newworld with her mom and her brother, Ran. Her dad died in a car crash 2 years ago, I think. Newworld is all about science; magic is banned and they gene-chopped everyone who is born with a magic gene. Unlike Oldworld, Farworld, Midworld, and Southworld, They have a scientific explanation for everything. Maggie is going into her senior year at high school. She's seventeen, and right around when her dad died, Pepperoni & Pineapple opened. Since then, it was a family tradition to eat there. But then her mom brings a new boyfriend home, Val, and she wants to share her custom with him. Only now, because Maggie doesn't like Val, she suddenly doesn't want to eat pizza anymore. Of course, she goes out with her friends there, which is how one day she meets Casimir. Casimir was not born in Newworld, so he knows other things, customs and phrases. Well, the book takes a big turn after that, and Maggie's mom marrying Val. Read the book for more! --Anita
