It's a book about a family of five kids whose parents gets stranded far away. A new policeman comes in, and a little while after, bike parts start to go missing, little-by-little. The narrator, Dewey, is the oldest boy in the family. He suspects that the Spive, his neighbor is stealing them, because he always took a little at a time. Is the Spive the thief, or is someone else committing the crime? --Anita
