I love Tomi Itlano, a japanese American. During the attack on pearl Harbor all Japanese are seen as an enmeny . Tomi's family is split up her father goes to a detainment camp on the other side of the US. Her brother goes off to serve the US side of the war. Tomi and her brother and her mother go to a detainment camp. A beautiful book. Lovely.
