The Absolutly True Diary of a Part Time Indian by Sherman Alexie

In the book "PTI" The main character is A Indian named Junior. Junior like books and relates to the author a little bit. Alcohol plays a huge role in Juniors life. His father and mother drink alcohol. He also has to struggle with poverty. Junior's best friend is Rowdy (his only friend). Rowdy protects Junior because he is the only friend in his life too. Junior is shocked that his teacher gave him a textbook from when his mother was born. Junior leaves his rez for better hope. The hole rez hates him including Rowdy. He still lives at his rez but at a different school. Junior's father's Best friend, Grandmother, Sister get killed because of alcohol. Junior has to face his ex-best friend in basketball at the end of the book. Alcohol plays a big role in Juniors life.- Paley
