Alex and Eliza, by Melissa de la Cruz

If this book were set 100 years in the future or the past from when it takes place, what might be different about the plot, characters, etc.

If this book were set 100 years in the future (late 1800s), the main characters, Alexander Hamilton and Elizabeth Schuyler, would probably still not be allowed to marry. They couldn't marry because Alex was too poor and because Eliza had to marry someone from another powerful bloodline. Of course, they still did marry, but no spoilers. If it were set a hundred years in the past (late 1600s), the marriage situation would be similar, except the revolutionary war wasn't happening and the colonies still loved the king.

I think this is a great book and recommend it to all Hamilton fans, as well as everyone else, too.
