Read a book by a local author or that takes place in Massachusetts.
If this book were set 100 years in the future or the past from when it takes place, what might be different about the plot, characters, etc.
One Dead Spy is a historical fiction comic book about Nathan Hale's roll in the American Revolution. If it were set 100 years in the future or 100 years in the past, the story wouldn't exist because the American Revolution happened at a certain time. Literally, all of the story would disappear and the book either wouldn't even exist at all, or it would have to be about some other spy and some other war. I guess if they really wanted to, someone could write the book about some kids 100 years later learning about the American Revolution, or maybe someone 100 years before the war someone could be telling the future, but then it would still partly take place in the same time period that it already does.
