What I love most about this book is that it is dystopian. And I am a fan of dystopian stories. Divergent, Hunger Games... I love them all. Specially when they are of the future, and they recall having something before their time, describing where and how we live today. If you didn't know, dystopian is a story that tells of a world in which everything is unpleasant and bad. Well, in this story, it turns out there was a flood that submerged the world underwater, and from the tallest mountains of the continents we know today turned into islands. Someone called Earth Mother, apparently a teacher (and I think also a cookie baker. I don't remember) created the New Weather which is artificial to stop storms and stuff from happening. They say it works perfectly but in the North, it is actually very unpredictable. So they don't use the Northern Islands. And the people that live there, which is the main character's case, are brought to the C olonies, which are the islands in which the New Weather and everything works, and they use the fruit to slowly erase their memory from their past. There's more, but it's all explained in the book. This world is very interesting.
Anyone that has liked Hunger Games or Divergent should definitely read this book. If you didn't like those two book series, you should still read this.
