The Throne of Glass is about a girl named Celaena Sardothien who is a assassin. Someone betrays her and she gets captured and sent to a concentration camp. But then, the Crown Prince and the Captain of the Guard come to her and ask her to be their champion, since the king is holding a contest to see who will be his champion. But as the contest goes on, people start mysteriously dying. Gruesomely. The flesh teared from the body, and symbols placed around it. Celaena discovers that it's not just her freedom that is at stake, but humanity itself.
