My sister's knee cap was dislocated and 3 chips of cartilage broke off. She is in a brace and had surgery although she still can't walk without crutches. I find this odd because in the commercials of hospitals it shows the kid smiling at their parent/s and they have been healed and all alive and kickin' (got that from the book) yet that isn't even true!!
